Longleat 10K

A run in Lord Baths back garden

On Sunday February 5th Jenny and Jane took part in the Longleat 10K organised by 2:09 Events.

This popular 10K is run around the Longleat estate complete with it’s safari park and features a spectacular finish right outside Lord Baths stately home, over 750 runners finished the race.

ROUGH N’ TUMBLE 2012

Hills and Cakes

Last Sunday (January 16th) Dave C, Dave S Frank and Alastair took part in the Rough n' Tumble at Milton Lilbourne near Marlborough. The tough multi-terrain 10 miler once again tormented the +500 runners with its mix of mud and hills, however as usual the homemade cakes went down a treat with the finishers.

The race was won by an unattached runner Tom Fisher with a new course record of 104:33. Three out the four Motcombe Runners all managed PB’s for the course.

The Drovers Revenge

Ox Drove Run

On Sunday February 19th, Motcombe Runners competed in the first running of the “The Drovers Revenge” at Broadchalke near Salisbury.

The eight mile multi terrain course starts at the base of the Chalke Valley proceeds up hill to the Ox Drove and then along trails through Knighton Wood before descending back to the finish.

Great cakes provided at the finish by all accounts.
